SCREAMING BEAGLES (89.5) at Super Mario and the Clavicle Breakers (90.5)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 Halas intra-divisional classic, Super Mario and the Clavicle Breakers squeaked by a tough SCREAMING BEAGLES team by a score of 90.5 to 89.5, silencing a partisan crowd of 72,632.

Super Mario and the Clavicle Breakers were led to their 1.0 point victory by a 18.7 point effort from Antonio Bryant, who beat the San Diego Chargers defense for 127 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. With this performance, Bryant was the number 2 ranked wide receiver for week 16. They also got help from a 18.3 point effort from Shaun Hill, who got by the St. Louis Rams defense for 216 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 45 rushing yards.

"This was a good win for us," Super Mario and the Clavicle Breakers coach Christopher Thomas said.

SCREAMING BEAGLES were helped out in a losing cause by a 23.6 point effort from Drew Brees, who tore apart the Detroit Lions defense for 351 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 16.3 point effort from Pierre Thomas, who got by the Detroit Lions defense for 77 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 26 receiving yards.

"Not to take away anything from our opponents, but we didn't play like we're capable of playing," SCREAMING BEAGLES coach John Ski said.

Adding salt to the wound, SCREAMING BEAGLES could have scored 112.3 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but John Ski left key players like Matt Cassel and his corresponding 28.2 points on the bench.

SCREAMING BEAGLES drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 16.

This brings the record for Super Mario and the Clavicle Breakers to 7-6, and drops SCREAMING BEAGLES to a record of 11-2.
